As you contemplate entering a committed relationship, the greater your neediness, or his, the more likely codependency, dysfunction and disappointment will follow. Neediness is a psychological, fear-based characteristic. Neediness in relationships, or in would-be relationships, is paradoxical. The greater the neediness, the less likely it is for legitimate wants and needs to be met. Focus on what you want, not what you need.

Why celebrate?
If you fulfill an intention, if you achieve something, and then you celebrate what you have accomplished, you are acknowledging to your center and to the universe what you have done. This tends to anchor it as real.
Too often, when we achieve something, we forget, or neglect out of false modesty to celebrate and anchor what we have done. Instead, with no change in pace, we just whimper, “Next!” We are left with the feeling we haven’t got anything done.

We all want to have a sense of psychological well-being, that is, we want to be happy. So what do we do to gain happiness? We work harder. We buy lottery tickets. We invest. We do anything we can to improve our economic well-being, because we believe it translates directly into happiness. Furthermore, we do this as individuals and as a society.

Why do you go see a medical doctor, psychologist, chiropractor or other health professional? Most people would answer that they seek help because they have a problem that needs fixing. What is the true problem that needs fixing? You’re not broken, although you may have a block to creating the life you want.
