I’m at the Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology conference in Virginia, USA and I promised to report back to you if possible.
Today I took in a great training workshop called, The Pleasure of Weight Loss. It was a very hands-on training in using Tapas Acupressure Technique (TAT) to help people [tag-tec]lose weight[/tag-tec] and keep it off. And the icing on the cake was that the workshop was led by Tapas Fleming herself. Tapas is the inventor/originator of TAT, and she is a great teacher.
I had the pleasure of training with Tapas seven years ago, so today was for recharging, discovering what’s new with TAT and learning a new application.
The workshop was not in any way about diets or Weight Watchers. Rather it was about a simple way to help oneself or others let go of whatever is keeping us stuck with [tag-ice]excess weight[/tag-ice]. It was about transforming negative beliefs and emotional patterns.
The protocols are based on a recent National Institute of Health study.
I am looking forward to using TAT with clients who have problems, not only with compulsive eating, but also with compulsive drinking. The latter, of course, leads to alcoholism, and I am already immersed in the rehab field.
I will have more to say about TAT in the future, but for now you can check out Tapas Fleming’s website if you want more details about her work.
